DESCRIPTION: ‘The Dominators’ was the first story of Season 6 of Doctor Who, and starred Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor.

FACT: Arthur Cox, who played Cully in this story, went on to play Mr Henderson in Matt Smith’s debut episode ‘The Eleventh Hour’.

A Matter of Time: Terror of the Zygons

DESCRIPTION: ‘Terror of the Zygons’ was the first story of Season 13 of Doctor Who, and starred Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor.

FACT: This story was Nicholas Courtney’s final appearance as the Brigadier for almost eight years, and also marks the final regular appearance of Harry Sullivan.

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Reign of Terror’ was the last story of Season 1 of Doctor Who, and starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor.

FACT: Director Henric Hirsch suffered from exhaustion during the making of this story, so John Gorrie stepped in to direct Episode 3.

FACT: Toby was a criminal hired by Arthur Terrall to kidnap Jamie McCrimmon, but he was exterminated by a Dalek.

DESCRIPTION: Peter Craze played Dako in ‘The Space Museum’, Du Pont in ‘The War Games’, and Costa in ‘Nightmare of Eden’.

FACT: His brother is Michael Craze, who played the companion Ben Jackson alongside William Hartnell and Patrick Troughton.

A Matter of Time: Tariq Yunus

DESCRIPTION: Tariq Yunus wan an Indian actor who played the character of Cass in the popular Fourth Doctor story ‘The Robots of Death’.

FACT: Cass was a crew member on board the Sandminer, and was murdered by one of the sinister Sandminer robots.

FACT: Brazen led an attack on the Tractators, but was killed by their excavating machine.

FACT: In certain scenes, especially when the Quarks are recharging, the operators’ hands are visible using the Quark arms.

A Matter of Time: Innes Lloyd

DESCRIPTION: Innes Lloyd was the producer of Doctor Who from the end of William Hartnell’s era to the middle of Patrick Troughton’s era.

FACT: Lloyd worked with the script editor Gerry Davis to come up with the original concept of ‘regeneration’, so that multiple actors could play the Doctor.

FACT: The story was mistakenly called ‘The French Revolution’ in many listings, due to Radio Times printing an article with the wrong title.

'The Adventure Games: TARDIS' Confirmed

The official BBC Website has revealed details about the third story to form ‘The Adventure Games’ series, and has confirmed the title of the episode as ‘TARDIS’.

It will feature monsters, terrifying new dangers for the Doctor and Amy, and offers an amazing insight into the world’s most famous blue box. It has also been announced that the game will give players the opportunity to pilot the Doctor’s iconic time machine.

“The game allows players to explore the Doctor's wondrous drawing room, featuring treasures and artefacts from his many adventures - a location specially created for the game, which will go on to form part of the Doctor Who canon.”

‘TARDIS’ will be released on 27th August 2010, and will be free for all users inside the United Kingdom. Users abroad will be able to purchase and download it on the same date.

A Matter of Time: Sylvester McCoy

DESCRIPTION: Sylvester McCoy starred as the Seventh Doctor from 1987 – 1989, and was the final actor to play the Doctor in the classic series.

FACT: After Colin Baker declined returning to film the regeneration scene, McCoy put on a blonde wig and Baker’s costume to stand him for him.

A Matter of Time: Ianto Jones

DESCRIPTION: Ianto Jones was a member of Torchwood Three, initially serving as a support man before later taking on a more active role in missions.

FACT: Ianto’s death encouraged an online campaign to resurrect the character, which led to a drive to give to the Children in Need charity “in memory” of Ianto.

DESCRIPTION: Tom Watson played the character of Ramo, a priest of Atlantis, in the Patrick Troughton story ‘The Underwater Menace’.

FACT: His character in the story hated Professor Zaroff, and as a result helped the Doctor oppose his plans.

DESCRIPTION: Graham Williams was the producer from Season 15 through to Season 17 for the classic series of Doctor Who.

FACT: Under the pseudonym of “David Agnew”, he co-wrote the stories ‘The Invasion of Time’ and ‘City of Death’.

DESCRIPTION: Vernon Dobtcheff played the Chief Scientist in Patrick Troughton’s final story as the Second Doctor, ‘The War Games’.

FACT: Rupert Everett described an encounter with Dobtcheff on the boat train to Paris, calling him the “patron saint” of the acting profession.

DESCRIPTION: Bartlett Mullins played the alien character of the Second Elder in the popular William Hartnell story ‘The Sensorites’.

FACT: He appeared in many other popular productions during his lifetime, including police show ‘Z-Cars’ and the film ‘The Quatermass Xperiment'.

DESCRIPTION: John Nathan-Turner began by working on the production team of Doctor Who, and later became the ninth and final producer for the classic series.

FACT: He made himself instantly recognisable at conventions with his combination of a beard, long hair and a Hawaiian shirt.
