DESCRIPTION: ‘The Face of Evil’ was the fourth story of Season 14 of Doctor Who, and starred Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor.

FACT: Leela appears to hit the Doctor with a ray gun in Part Four, as the ray gun effect is not entirely correctly positioned with the actors.

A Matter of Time: The Horns of Nimon

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Horns of Nimon’ was the fifth story of Season 17 of Doctor Who, and starred Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor.

FACT: This story was supposed to have been followed by ‘Shada’ in the series, however due to a strike the production of Shada was abandoned.

A Matter of Time: Verity Lambert

DESCRIPTION: Verity Lambert was the first Producer of Doctor Who, and served from ‘An Unearthly Child’ to ‘Mission to the Unknown’.

FACT: The 2007 Christmas special, Voyage of the Damned, ends with an on-screen dedication to Lambert who had died a month earlier.

DESCRIPTION: ‘Everything Changes’ was the first story in the first series of ‘Torchwood’, and stars John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness.

FACT: A poster advertising a Doctor Who exhibition in Cardiff can be briefly seen in a background shot.

A Matter of Time: Billie Piper

DESCRIPTION: Billie Piper played the character of Rose Tyler to high critical acclaim when the show returned in 2005.

FACT: She has worked alongside Matt Smith on three occasions, in two adaptations of Philip Pullman books, and an episode of ‘Secret Diary of a Call Girl’.

A Matter of Time: The Reign of Terror (2)

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Reign of Terror’ was the last story of Season 1 of Doctor Who, and starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor.

FACT: The story was mistakenly called ‘The French Revolution’ in many listings, due to Radio Times printing an article with the wrong title.
