FACT: This was the first Fifth Doctor story to be filmed as the script for Peter Davison’s intended opening story had to be rewritten.

A Matter of Time: Dudley Jones

DESCRIPTION: Dudley Jones played the character of John Dyson in the First Doctor story ‘The Tenth Planet’.

FACT: John Dyson was the supervising engineer stationed at the Snowcap South Pole Base, who used radiation against the Cybermen.

A Matter of Time: Greeks Bearing Gifts

DESCRIPTION: ‘Greeks Bearing Gifts’ was the seventh story in the first series of Torchwood, and starred John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness.

FACT: When Jack is studying the alien device, he mentions that it has nanogenes technology, which was first mentioned in The Empty Child.

A Matter of Time: Paradise Towers

DESCRIPTION: ‘Paradise Towers’ was the second story of Season 24 of Doctor Who, and starred Sylvester McCoy as the Seventh Doctor.

FACT: Julie Brennon, who played Fire Escape, was at the time married to Mark Strickson who played a previous companion called Turlough.

A Matter of Time: Talulah Riley

DESCRIPTION: Talulah Riley played the character of Miss Evangelista in the Tenth Doctor episodes ‘Silence in the Library’ and ‘Forest of the Dead’.

FACT: She co-starred alongside Carey Mulligan in the 2005 version of ‘Pride & Prejudice’ as one of the Bennet sisters.

A Matter of Time: Tariq Yunus

DESCRIPTION: Tariq Yunus wan an Indian actor who played the character of Cass in the popular Fourth Doctor story ‘The Robots of Death’.

FACT: Cass was a crew member on board the Sandminer, and was murdered by one of the sinister Sandminer robots.
