FACT: The unusual and often comical music in this story was conducted by Carey Blyton, and features clarinets, recorders, cellos and horns.

A Matter of Time: Frank Gatliff

DESCRIPTION: Frank Gatliff played played the character of Ortron in the Third Doctor story ‘The Monster of Peladon’.

FACT: Ortron strongly opposed the presence of the Galactic Federation on Peladon, and joined forces with Gebek when the Ice Warriors led by Azaxyr took over.

A Matter of Time: Planet of Giants

DESCRIPTION: ‘Planet of Giants’ was the first story of Season 2 of Doctor Who, and starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor.

FACT: This story sees the debut of the musician Dudley Simpson, who created the incidental music for many stories during the classic era.

A Matter of Time: The Dominators (2)

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Dominators’ was the first story of Season 6 of Doctor Who, and starred Patrick Troughton as the Second Doctor.

FACT: Arthur Cox, who played Cully in this story, went on to play Mr Henderson in Matt Smith’s debut episode ‘The Eleventh Hour’.
