The Doctor Who Experience Photos Released

The official Doctor Who website has released a gallery of photos from the Doctor Who Experience, which opens in London this weekend. The event has been described as “the ultimate Doctor Who Adventure”, and is part immersive experience, part interactive exhibition. Specially written scenes featuring Matt Smith as the Doctor, fiendishly inventive sets, and incredible effects conspire to make the Doctor Who Experience more than just an exhibition.

The premise of the immersive adventure is to take visitors through their very own journey across time and space, helping the Doctor, dealing with Daleks and whirling through a breath-taking world. There will be three TARDIS sets on views, as well as classic monsters and mementoes from the show itself.

The Doctor Who Experience gallery can be viewed here.

Doctor Who Matthew Graham Writes for Series 6

The latest issue of Doctor Who Magazine has revealed that Matthew Graham will be writing a two-part story for Series 6, which will form Episodes 5 and 6 of the new series. Graham previously wrote the much despised story ‘Fear Her’, which was voted as the worst story of the revived series of Doctor Who in the magazine's poll of episodes last year.

This makes the announcement that he will be writing for the new series quite surprising, although Steven Moffat does highly praise the work that he has done on the two-parter. Moffat says that Graham has "given us a thrilling and terrifying two-parter. The Doctor will face a dilemma the like of which he’s never seen before."

A comical preview of a production meeting on his episodes suggest that the Doctor will have a flashback of Sarah Jane Smith with the Daleks on Skaro, which has led to some people speculating that the Daleks will return in this two-part story. However, it is always hard to tell with Steven Moffat what is and isn’t true, so this should all be taken as speculation for the moment.

Doctor Who 13'' Remote Controlled Eternal Dalek

It has been revealed that Toys R Us will be stocking a remote controlled version of the yellow Eternal Dalek, which includes flashing lights and speech, motorised Dalek movement, a poseable gun and arm, and an illuminated eye.

“Many years ago, the Daleks sent out thousands of egg-shaped Progenitors containing the genetic coding of the race, so that new Daleks could be created whenever necessary. One of these Progenitors was found in war-torn England during the Second World War and transported to a Dalek ship.

However, because the Daleks that found it had been genetically modified by their creator Davros, using his own DNA, the Progenitor did not acknowledge them as pure Daleks, until the Doctor identified them as such and the Progenitor created a new race of powerful Daleks as a result.”
