It has been confirmed that the Mara Tales box set will be released in the UK on 7th March 2011, and will comprise the Fifth Doctor Stories ‘Kinda’ and ‘Snakedance’. The digitally remastered discs will feature a new CGI version of the Mara as a snake, which can be viewed instead of the original unconvincing inflatable snake.

Doctor Who - Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith Wants to Battle Cybermen

The Eleventh Doctor Matt Smith has revealed that he wants to fight the Cybermen in the next series of Doctor Who, having only come face to face with them in cameo appearances in ‘The Pandorica Opens’.

Matt Smith said: “Who would I like to face from the old series? Well I've not really properly faced a Cyberman yet. But I want it to be an old school Cyberman like the ones in ‘Tomb of the Cybermen’.”

Karen Gillan has also said that she is keen to take on the silver-suited monsters, even though she battled an injured one in the last series. Gillan said: “I've faced one - a one-armed one. But I would like to face them again.”

Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, who play the roles of the Eleventh Doctor and his companion Amy Pond, appeared on this morning’s edition of the breakfast programme ‘Daybreak’. The video above shows them talking to Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles about the Doctor Who Series Five Box Set, which is now available to buy in shops across the UK.

It has been reported that the Doctor Who stars Matt Smith and Karen Gillan, who play the roles of the Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond, will be making an appearance on tomorrow’s edition of the breakfast programme ‘Daybreak’.

The programme will be broadcast between 6:00am and 8:30am tomorrow, where the stars will be talking to Christine Bleakley and Adrian Chiles about the Doctor Who Series Five Box Set release.

The video diaries which will be included in the Series 5 box set are now available to view above, and show how various effects were achieved in the series, as well as showing what the cast and crew get up to in between filming.

The cover artwork for the ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ Series 3 DVD box set has now been revealed, showing the team with various enemies from the series. The episodes included in the set are:

Doctor Who Series 5 Box Set Release

The final cover for the complete Series 5 DVD box set has now been revealed, showing a lenticular image which will change appearance as you move it. There will also be numbered limited edition box sets, which will go on sale in time for the Christmas market.

The set also features many DVD extras, including exclusively filmed scenes giving you an insight to what has happened in the TARDIS between episodes, a video diary of Matt Smith, the Doctor Who Confidential for each episode, and the Monster Diaries.

The Complete Fifth Series box set is due for release on 8th November 2010, at the price of £69.99 for DVD and £79.99 for Blu-ray.
