Doctor Who January 2011 DVD Releases

The DVD Company 2|entertain have revealed details about the Doctor Who stories which will be released in January 2011. The first story of the classic era to be released in the new year will be the Tom Baker story ‘Meglos’ on 10th January 2011, with the classic Jon Pertwee story ‘The Mutants’ set for release later on 31st January 2011.

The currently untitled Doctor Who 2010 Christmas Special will be released on 24th January 2011, including as a DVD, Blu-ray or Digital Copy.

Doctor Who Series 5 Box Set Release

The final cover for the complete Series 5 DVD box set has now been revealed, showing a lenticular image which will change appearance as you move it. There will also be numbered limited edition box sets, which will go on sale in time for the Christmas market.

The set also features many DVD extras, including exclusively filmed scenes giving you an insight to what has happened in the TARDIS between episodes, a video diary of Matt Smith, the Doctor Who Confidential for each episode, and the Monster Diaries.

The Complete Fifth Series box set is due for release on 8th November 2010, at the price of £69.99 for DVD and £79.99 for Blu-ray.

Doctor Who - Series 5: Volume 4

The fourth volume of Series 5 episodes has now been released in Region 2, at the recommended retail price of £15.99 for DVD and £19.99 for Blu-ray.

The volume includes Vincent and the Doctor, The Lodger, The Pandorica Opens, and The Big Bang, with The Monster Files as a special feature.
