Doctor Who Maxi Bust 8” Third Doctor and Weeping Angel

The official Forbidden Planet website has revealed information about two new highly-detailed maxi busts of the Third Doctor and a Weeping Angel, the latest editions to the exclusive maxi bust range.

“This beautifully-sculpted 8" maxi-bust of Jon Pertwee's Third Doctor captures the most flamboyant incarnation of the Time Lord in all his velvet-jacketed, bouffant-haired glory.”

“This maxi-bust of the Weeping Angel captures every detail of The Tenth Doctor's stone nemesis from the classic ‘Blink’ episode. Don't close your eyes!”

These new figures are available to pre-order at the discount price of £49.99 each from Forbidden Planet, and are expected to arrive at their warehouse on 28th August this year.

Doctor Who Series 5 Action Figure Exclusive Set

It has been announced that the shop ‘Toys R Us’ will be releasing an exclusive action figure set with six figures from Series 5 of Doctor Who, which is expected to sell in high numbers in the run-up to Christmas.

The figures in the set will include the previously released Eleventh Doctor, Ironside Dalek, Regenerating Weeping Angel and a Smiler, as well as a brand new and exclusive Yellow Eternal Dalek and Silurian action figure. The Silurian figure also comes with the accessories of a warrior mask and a laser weapon.

It is currently unknown if the Yellow Eternal Dalek and Silurian action figures will be available to buy separately, although the Eternal Dalek was available to buy from an event at Hastings Entertainment in North America for a limited time.

Doctor Who Adventures 184 Out Now

The latest magazine of Doctor Who Adventures comes with an amazing free prize, which grows to become a Weeping Angel when you just add water! There is also a guide on how to draw the Daleks, as well as backstage secrets from the man who decorates the sets of Doctor Who and the story of River Song.

The magazine also comes with the regular features including posters, competitions and a comic strip.

Doctor Who Adventures 184 is now available in shops across the UK, at the regular price of £2.20.

Character Options Release More Variant Figures

Character Options have released information about another two Weeping Angel action figures, however they have previously been released with only small changes to the models. The new confirmed variant figures are:

1. Regeneration Weeping Angel (Neutral Face)
2. Regenerated Weeping Angel (Weathered)

These new variant figures are in addition to the ‘Regeneration’, ‘Regenerated’ and ‘Looped Television’ variants of the original Weeping Angel model. The previously released figures are available to buy from the official Forbidden Planet website, with the two new variants set to appear shortly for pre-order.

Character Options Release New Variant Figures

The official Forbidden Planet website have released information about three new exclusive action figures, however they have previously been released with only small differences to these new models.

The new figures confirmed for release are:

1. Professor Bracewell (Black Glove Variant)
2. Ironside Dalek (Ears Covered Variant)
3. Weeping Angel (Looped Television Variant)

These new figures are all available to buy for £7.98 from the Forbidden Planet website, plus extra money for postage. Character Options have recently started producing figures at an increasing pace, and it is making it harder for fans of the show to afford these new releases.
