The Sarah Jane Adventures Complete Series 4 Viewing Figures

The viewing figures for the sixth story in Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures, ‘Goodbye, Sarah Jane Smith’, showed that the programme once again received strong ratings on the CBBC channel.

Part One of this story attracted an audience of 1.34 million viewers in total, with Part Two achieving 1.39 million viewers.

The Nightmare Man – 0.87m, 1.05m
The Vault of Secrets – 1.16m, 1.10m
Death of the Doctor – 1.40m, 1.43m
The Empty Planet – 1.50m, 1.39m
Lost in Time – 1.57m, 1.22m

The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 Poll - The Nightmare Man

The poll for the first story in the new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, ‘The Nightmare Man’, showed that the average rating out of five stars was 4.4 stars, meaning that this story was thought of as ‘Good’.

Thank you to everyone who voted in the poll. The poll for ‘The Vault of Secrets’ will be available after the second part has aired tomorrow.

A brand new poll is now available on Blink, where you can give a rating out of five stars for the first story in the new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, ‘The Nightmare Man’.

The results of this poll will be revealed on Sunday evening.

The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 Begins

The brand new run of stories featuring Sarah Jane Smith and her team will begin in just over an hour on BBC One, starting with the first part of ‘The Nightmare Man’.

This story sees the return of Julian Bleach to the Doctor Who world, where he will now be playing the Nightmare Man himself in this story, having previously played Davros and the Ghost Maker.

It is also expected that Tommy Knight’s character of Luke will leave at the end of the second part, however he is rumoured to return at the end of the series.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: 'The Nightmare Man' Exclusive Clip



The CBBC show TMI has released another exclusive clip from Series 4 of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, which shows Luke Smith being terrorised by the sinister Nightmare Man in the first story of the new series. This story will be broadcast in two parts, with Part 1 on 11th October 2010 and Part 2 on 12th October 2010.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 4 Trailer 4



The BBC have released a longer fourth trailer for Series 4 of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, showing viewers what they can expect from the upcoming stories. The trailer includes dialogue between the Eleventh Doctor and Sarah Jane Smith, as well as featuring a Slitheen exploding and various enemies terrorising the gang.

The first story of the series has the title of ‘The Nightmare Man’, and will be broadcast on Monday 11th October 2010.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 4 Trailer 3



The BBC have released a third teaser trailer for Series 4 of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, which will be shown on BBC One and CBBC over the next few weeks. The first story of the series has the title of ‘The Nightmare Man’, and will be broadcast on Monday 11th October 2010.

This trailer shows a lot of the enemies which will be appearing in this series, as well as giving viewers the first look at the Vault of Secrets. There are also a lot of special effects shown in the preview, which look surprisingly realistic compared with the effects form the previous series.

The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4 Synopsis

The BBC Press Office has released the synopsis for the first story of the brand new series of The Sarah Jane Adventures, ‘The Nightmare Man’. The story will be broadcast in two parts on Monday 11th October 2010 and Tuesday 12th October 2010, both at the time of 5:15pm on BBC One.

These are the full synopses for both parts:

PART 1 – Sarah Jane’s adopted son, Luke, faces life-changing events on Monday and Bannerman Road will never be the same again when he has his first nightmare and is haunted by a dark figure from his dreams. A strange entity is reaching out to our world, with terrible consequences for the whole human race.

PART 2 – With Luke, Clyde and Rani trapped in a bizarre dreamscape, Sarah Jane must fight alone. As the Nightmare Man grows stronger, only K-9 might hold the key, but can Luke summon the courage to face his adult life before the whole world becomes trapped in an endless nightmare?

The Sarah Jane Adventures - Series 4 Books Released Online

It has been announced that the two upcoming books from The Sarah Jane Adventures series, ‘The Nightmare Man’ and ‘Death of the Doctor’, have been pulled before even hitting the shelves.

It is currently unknown why the book releases were cancelled, although it is likely to be due to a lack of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’ merchandise being sold from previous series.

However, these books will instead be released online as eBooks on 4th November 2010, at a cheaper price of £4.99.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 4 Trailer 2



The BBC have released a second teaser trailer for Series 4 of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, which will be shown on BBC One and CBBC in early October. The first story of the series has the title of ‘The Nightmare Man’, and will be broadcast on Monday 11th October 2010.

This trailer focuses on the enemies appearing in this series, which will include the Androvax, Shansheeth, Dark Hoard and a Groske, which is a twist on the similarly named Graske.

The Sarah Jane Adventures Series 4

It has now been confirmed that the first story of The Sarah Jane Adventure Series 4, ‘The Nightmare Man’, will air on Monday 11th October 2010, with the second part the following day on 12th October 2010.

Blogtor Who has posted some exclusive images from ‘The Nightmare Man’, including a picture showing a ‘Slitheen Bomb’, which combined with the green slime seen covering the characters in the photo above, strongly indicates yet more action from the Raxacoricofallapatorians.

The Sarah Jane Adventures: Series 4 Complete

It has been confirmed that the recording of Series 4 of The Sarah Jane Adventures has now been completed, with the series due for broadcast in the Autumn.

A few of the CGI effects which are being created by The Mill for the new series have also been revealed, and include Rocket X-15, meteor strikes, the wasteland of the Crimson Heart, and a new UNIT base.

'The Nightmare Man' by Joseph Lidster is the first story to be shown later this year.
