DESCRIPTION: ‘The Brain of Morbius’ was the fifth story of Season 13 of Doctor Who, and starred Tom Baker as the Fourth Doctor.

FACT: At the end of Part Four the TARDIS dematerialises instantly with a flash and a puff of smoke, rather than the usual fading away gradually.

A Matter of Time: Random Shoes

DESCRIPTION: ‘Random Shoes’ was the ninth story in the first series of Torchwood, and starred John Barrowman as Captain Jack Harkness.

FACT: This episode was originally titled ‘Invisible Eugene’ up until two weeks before it aired, and was incorrectly listed in the Radio Times.

A Matter of Time: The Mark of the Berserker

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Mark of the Berserker’ was the fourth story in Series 2 of ‘The Sarah Jane Adventures’, and stars Elisabeth Sladen as Sarah Jane Smith.

FACT: This story only features Elisabeth Sladen in a very few scenes, as would the Series 4 story ‘The Empty Planet’.

A Matter of Time: Angelo Muscat

DESCRIPTION: Angelo Muscat played one of the small Chumblies in the William Hartnell story Galaxy 4.

FACT: His short size made him perfect for a role as an Oompa-Loompa in the original 1971 film version of ‘Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory’.

A Matter of Time: The Smugglers

DESCRIPTION: ‘The Smugglers’ was the first story of Season 4 of Doctor Who, and starred William Hartnell as the First Doctor.

FACT: No complete episodes of this story survive in the BBC’s archive, however telesnaps for all 4 episodes do survive.

A Matter of Time: Kate O’Mara

DESCRIPTION: Kate O’Mara played the villainous Rani in ‘The Mark of the Rani’ and ‘Time and the Rani’, and reprised the role for the special ‘Dimensions in Time’.

FACT: She featured in the ‘Talking About Regeneration’ special feature included on the DVD release of ‘The War Games’ in 2009.
