Doctor Who Utah Filming Dates and News

The Utah Governor’s Office of Economic Development has revealed that the main filming of the location scenes in Utah will take place between 17th November 2010 and 19th November 2010.

The Motion Picture Incentive Fund has authorised a filming rebate of up to $30,000 for location filming in the United States. The exact location of filming has not been revealed yet, and fans are being encouraged not to attend the filming.

A BBC representative told a member of the Utah Film Commission that he “feels that it would be doing the production a disservice to have fans of the show watching it being filmed as certain story arcs and plot lines could be exposed prematurely and be spread over the internet.”

Classic Doctor Who Synchronised DVD Releases

It has been revealed today that the DVD releases of Classic Doctor Who will be simultaneous on both sides of the Atlantic. Fans of the classic era in North America, Australia and New Zealand have had to wait many months after the UK release to get their own versions, however BBC America has confirmed that this will change for North America in 2011.

The Fourth Doctor story ‘Meglos’ will be the first to be released simultaneously, with the American release being the day after the UK release. It is also expected that the change will also apply to Australia and New Zealand, although this hasn’t been confirmed yet.

Torchwood American Comic Release

The first Torchwood Comic in the United States is being released tomorrow by Titan Publishing, and will feature Captain Jack Harkness in a story called the 'The Selkie'. The comic is written by John Barrowman himself, along with his sister Carole, and illustrated by Tommy Lee Edwards.

The comic book also includes the first part of 'Broken' by Gary Russell and Adrian Salmon.
