A Matter of Time: Katherine Schofield (Sabetha)

Katherine Schofield was an English actress of the twentieth century, who played the character of Sabetha in the popular William Hartnell story ‘The Keys of Marinus’. She left school at the age of 16 and worked as a secretary in France for a few years, before returning to England to study acting.

• Sabetha was a young woman sent by Arbitan, her father, to find the keys to the Conscience of Marinus, but instead became enslaved in the city of Morphoton.
• After being freed, she accompanied the First Doctor and his companions in their search for the keys.
• Sabetha and Altos were romantically involved, a fact which was exploited by the evil Voord, Yartek.
