PREDICTED BROADCAST: 03/04/2010
After many months of anticipation, Steven Moffat’s official tenure of Doctor Who will begin, starring Matt Smith as the Eleventh Doctor, Karen Gillan as his new assistant Amy Pond, and Arthur Darvill as her boyfriend Rory Williams.
Despite this being the first story of the fifth series, it was actually filmed fifth after the Weeping Angels stories, The Beast Below, and Victory of the Daleks. Not much is known about this story at present, despite much of it being filmed on location at Llandaff in Cardiff.
Matt Smith and Karen Gillan confirmed in DWM 417 that the enemy in this story is called The Face Tendril, and is computer-generated. All of the filming for the monster involved the actors looking at a tennis ball on a long pole, which was said to be flying through the air.
Things to look out for:
• The brand new TARDIS interior and exterior.
• Matt Smith wearing David Tennant’s battered costume.
• The Doctor and Amy acting suspiciously by an ice cream van.
• An exploding sonic screwdriver and telephone box.
• The Doctor retrieving a satsuma from his pocket.

The Eleventh Hour was the 5th episode to be filmed it was filmed after the beast below and victory of the daleks
aswell as time of the angels & flesh&stone.Will the doctor have a satsuma in his pocket in the eleventh hour?
