A Matter of Time: Frederick Schrecker (Julius Silverstein)

Frederick Schrecker was an Austrian actor of the twentieth century, whose precise birth date is unknown due to a lack of records in that period of history. He played the character of Julius Silverstein in the popular 1968 story ‘The Web of Fear’, which is mostly missing from the archives now. However, the episode with Silverstein’s death from the Yeti is still complete.

• Julius Silverstein was a wealthy businessman and a collector of rare artefacts. He purchased a deactivated robot Yeti from Professor Edward Travers, who had acquired it in Tibet.
• Thirty years later, Travers, having succeeded in reactivating a Yeti control sphere which later vanished, went to Silverstein and requested that he return the Yeti, warning him of the danger.
• Silverstein refused to listen, and was soon afterwards killed by the reactivated Yeti.
