Paterson Joseph is an English actor, who trained at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. In recent years he has had a high number of roles in various British television programmes, including Doctor Who. He has also had connections with many other people involved in the programme.
• He played the character of Rodrick in ‘Bad Wolf’ and ‘The Parting of the Ways’, before being exterminated by the Daleks.
• He was widely considered to be the most probable candidate for the role of the Eleventh Doctor, before it was announced that the role would go to Matt Smith.
• He had previously appeared in ‘Jekyll’ by Steven Moffat, alongside other Doctor Who actresses including Michelle Ryan, Fenella Woolgar and Meera Syal.
