A Matter of Time: Human Nature
ORIGINAL BROADCAST: 26/05/2007
DOCTOR: David Tennant
COMPANIONS: Freema Agyeman
STORY: The Tenth Doctor and Martha Jones narrowly escape from an attack by the Family of Blood, who intend to use the Doctor’s power to live forever. In order to prevent their detection, the Doctor transforms himself into a human for three months, transferring his Time Lord DNA to a fob watch. Martha must guard his fob watch, otherwise the Doctor will remain in human nature forever…
FACTS:
• Paul Cornell originally wrote the story as a novel featuring the Seventh Doctor and Bernice Summerfield, and was asked by Russell T Davies to adapt it for television.
• John Smith refers to his parents as Sydney and Verity, a reference to the original creator and producer of Doctor Who, Sydney Newman and Verity Lambert.
• John Smith’s skill with a cricket ball is reminiscent of the Fifth Doctor, who showed his cricket skills ‘Black Orchid’ and ‘Four to Doomsday’, as well as wearing a cricket outfit throughout his incarnation.

This along with Family of blood is my fave two part story and probibly one of the best storys since the revival. Creepy aliens and a few sad bits too and the cliffhanger was very exciting!
