Thirty-five years ago today, the Sontarans appeared in their second television adventure, starring Tom Baker as the Doctor. This story was unusual of its time, as it is only two parts long, and was shot entirely on location.
During the filming of this story, Tom Baker broke his collarbone while performing a stunt. This meant that a stunt double was required for all of the other fight sequences, and Tom Baker’s arm had to be supported with his scarf.
